With the US President $1 coin notices limited to 50,000 what do you think? Also would sending in to NGC be a smart move.
I want to thank everyone for the great information, being a new collector I feel that this forum is wounderful.
Enthusiastic collector of British pre-decimal and Canadian decimal circulation coins.

You are referring to the FDCC's ( First Day Coin or Commemorative Covers) I presume. Only Washington was a "great hit." Adams petered out....don't know what's in store for the Jefferson....keep an eye on the sales figures before you jump in. Sending them in to NGC is a waste of $, they are selling on average about $10 more than the regular covers. Most will grade 65. & btw...image

  • It depends on your grading skills and what you intentions are. I would submit only those that had a chance of getting the top grade. Otherwise, keep 'em sealed is probably the way to go.

  • I have a couple of each I keep put away, still sealed in the white envelope for my son when he gets older. Maybe they'll get him interested in coins when he's older.
