What was it cleaned with ? I cannot make this out with certainty. Dipped out ? Maybe it's just the photo....It looks washed out , even though it looks like MS64+ quality. The lower left quadrant of the obverse and reverse are just too dark to tell...

I can't judge by the photo on the originality of the SKIN. Great strike detail and eye appeal. Not a lot of contact marks in the focal areas. That's a plus. The neck, jawline and cheek are critical areas. I cannot see good enough.

  • Not dipped, okay then. MS 63 or 64.

    Give it a shot.

My guess is an MS63. MS64 if not for the scuffs on the jaw on neck of Liberty. I'd leave it raw. It is a nice coin as it is.

    MS63, shot 64. A small shot.
  • a vital issue is the "luster." You describe it as full luster. If it really has full luster, it has not been cleaned.

but can you honestly judge your own coin? have you rotated the coin under a light for the cartwheel effect?

okay, let's say it has true, full luster. then the next issue is the condition of the coin, the scratches on the face.

certainly not ms65 material, and it might have a shot at 64. feel confident for 63.

    the issue is the luster.
