Thanks, Coinboy...I always look for your posted stats...looks like the Little Rock coin & medal set is creeping @ of about 100 sales per week, to a sell out....

the odd thing is that a 20th anniversary MS will always be worth more, even though technically more were put there than sold as individual Z6F

But the thing is there will be alot fewer 20th anniversary coins authenticated and graded as such since unless submitted early or unopened these will just be considered the individuals.

it can't "come out" and get rinsed in acetone....then it is "just" another Z6F.

i need to go the food saver route, even with slabs and pray.

Where is the best place to buy a food saver and for coins only is there a better model??

Think you need to change the header to 2007W.

I am hoping they pull the 2007 ASE's if silver climbs any higher.

  • Does anyone know the ratio between these PCGS coins graded MS69 and MS70?

I don't see these listed in the pop report.

  • thanks........
  • Wow! Look at those low Plat W numbers! Especially that half ouncer!
I hope the mint re-prices those soon just like the Gold Ws or better yet just stop selling them until the 2008 come out.

October is almost here and anything is possible image

    Thanks Coinboy!

The 2007 plat mintages are interesting. The 1/10 ounce singles have surpassed last years. The mint could have produced more singles this year in anticipation of last years sellout. The big question is what are those single mintages and will they continue to sell these into 2008? These are minted to demand and ounce they reach the already minted plats they most likely will not produce anymore being that it is getting later in the year now. Watch them closely guys.
  • I think the thing to watch is the Set Count, if these get over 2,000 it's all over.

    Remember this:

The 2006 W Unc Plat DID NOT GO ON SALE untill the week of September 25th, 2006 !

We are 75% of the 2006 W Unc Set Sales right NOW with 1,628 Sets.

Many of the folks who bought BU Platinum from dealers in the past are now well aware of the Burnished Plat W Series and many have or are buying direct from the Mint instead.

The 2006 W's should not be threatened, IMHO.
  • People may be holding back from buying the 1/2oz plats in anticipation of a possible Anniv set. Those 1/2oz numbers will rise big-time if a set comes out.

I think we were all waiting to see what the numbers look like towards the end of the year. I purchased a 1/4 last week because of raising metal prices. Boy if Platinium coins get locked right now only the ones they have in stock will be sold when re-priced. I have a feeling that everyone has their eye on the ball on the 2007 W UNC while the proof may end up being the best of the two this year.
  • The 2007 W Unc won't be in the Plat Anniversary Set.

I believe only a RP and a Proof are slated.

It'll only affect the proof...the unc is persona non gratta in the 10th Anniversary Set. So the set will have one BV value coin (proof) and a marginal collectible completely depending on mintage. Even at 5,000 sets it would be a marginal success because of the proof inclusion.
