Mint reopens order waiting list for Jefferson Uncirculated First Spouse

TexastTexast Posts: 1,899 ✭✭✭✭
Just checked the mint website and they are once again taking orders to be placed on the waiting list for the Uncirculated Jefferson First Spouse. Could it be they cancelled that many orders?

Link to order page.

Wouldn't it be cool if all the flippers sent them back, and everyone thinks the Slaughter House is sold out.

Next year we find out thousands were sent to the smelter, and only 5k of each were actually sold.

    There is always hope.

While I think your hypothetical numbers are a bit high/low, there is some validity to that thinking.

No one that gets on the waiting list now will ever see a coin. The Mint is simply running an unannounced marketing survey to determine what mintage the market will bear next year.

I heard they were making a French version of Medal of Honor. I wonder how many hotkeys it'll have for "surrender."
  • T, where do you get your misinformation?
  • I don't think there conducting some kind of marketing survey or they would have continued to take orders on the proofs. I think they want a certain number of orders over limit and the orders for the uncs have slowed to the point it's taking this long to hit the number the proofs hit long ago.
  • Funny.... I canceled my unc. yesterday

Of course, because I did that, the proof (which I'm keeping) will be a dog and the unc. will skyrocket and be the lowest mintage every for any type of coin and sell for millions

Did I mis something hubird? After looking at the site several different times and seeing the term in red "Product is not available" one could reasonably surmise that they were not taking orders.

I've never seen the Unc. with a Not Available sign.

Only the Proof, has been unavailable for about 10 days now. The unc. never fell into that category....You may have been looking at the proof.....LINK

Pretty deceitful, IMO, if that's the case!
