Isn't she just beautiful? I think I lucked out, one of the three proof sets has some very nice coins.
Scratches and dust on the plastic. This one may have
a chance at a 70.

Nice. In that picture the "S" looks almost like a 5

You may be right... very nice coin. Cheers, RickO
  • Nice looking coin. I've been noticing on mine that the "S" mint mark looks oddly shaped compared with other years and other denominations...

the sacs I have seen this year in the proof set are very very nice indeed!

my son went gaga over how "shiny" the quarters were as he had never seen a proof State quarter before. I told him these were NOT to be put in his folder of circulated State quarters.

I have noticed the mint mark as well. I took a photo of the Lincoln for comparison. The top Serif points upwards and not quite filled.

Hey, I just bought my '07 silver sets from the mint kisok in DC and people had better check their prezzies as a lot of these had brown marks all over the planchet or were in general discolored.

are you sure it just wasn't all the BS spewing out of Congress?image

how is the weather? was there last year when Ernesto blew through.
  • I was very happy with the Sac in my proof set. The silver proof sets are going back for spotted coins. I hadn't noticed the MM resembling a 5 before and the pic isn't at sharp as yours, but it's there.

  • A collector friend ordered 5 silver sets from the mint and when they arrived, two of the sets had double sets of silver quarters and none of the other coinage. Better look yours over.image

DC, well at least the weather is absolutely lovely at this time of the year and riding the bicycle is absolutely great.

Hey, I think these "brassies" (ie presidents and sacs) are going to have some issues at least in the silver sets based on what I have seen and feedback from others. Please do check your sets...

The difference in mintmarks is interesting. It never occurred to me to check the differences between denominations.
