Not that this came as much of a shock but we are now officially off the charts in the AP poll. I swear folks, I have never, ever been more disgusted by a lack of effort (especially second half) in all my life. But I guess what's done is done and like I said before, there's still plenty of football to play, including now tenth place Georgia. Maybe, just maybe (IF the guys actually come prepared and eat their Campbell's Chunky Soup) we have at least one more big upset left in us yet, and when it comes to big upsets, it's much, much better to give than to receive.
estil...i feel your pain.....and much more than you think. kentucky came in with little expectations. though they've slipped the last few weeks, give them credit for the wins they've had so far this season. i am a cal alum...and seeing my bears lose not only a solid grip on the BCS championship...but also a Rose Bowl berth...is disheartening. It's so bad this season that Cal is not 2nd..3rd or even 4th in the PAC-10!
With the season a bust, im pretty much rooting for a two PAC-10 appearance in the BCS (and show the rest of the college football world that it's not just all USC). Although the PAC-10 gets little love...especially on this board...their featured games this season (Cal vs. Oregon, Oregon vs. USC and Cal vs. ASU) have been very close and exciting. Now ASU vs. Oregon next week....a BIG game.

The PAC10 has surpassed the SEC as the best conference in all the land, but you'd never know it from the east coast biased talking heads. ASU vs Oregon is going to be huge, and should be a fantastic game.
Well, Kentucky was able to prevail against Vandy 27-20, so hopefully we're back in the groove. Now let's make up for our deplorable effort against Mississippi State by knocking off yet another top ten team next week!

Classic game today in Lexington, the Mildcats really fought hard, Tennessee should have never let them come back after going up by 17 points.
All in all looks like Ainge was the slightly better QB today (7 touchdowns), the Vols are on their way to Atlanta to meet the Bayou Bengals. Should be a great game!!!
Indeed, by halftime, I was convinced that Kentucky didn't really show up to play and we were just going to get blown out. And true, we came up a bit short in the end (surprise, surprise) but give Kentucky a lot of credit (cliche I know); they had every reason to pack it in and quit but did not. Now they really showed some heart out there.
And that No Name Bowl I just found out is the Music City Bowl (just like last year) against Florida State. Again, good luck Cats; go for back-to-back bowl wins! I just wish we hadn't slipped up that second half and had gotten into a much better bowl game...
