Help needed on a unused ticket from the game Rickey Henderson broke SB record.

Hello all,

Thanks for looking. I have a full unused ticket from the game Rickey Henderson broke Lou Brocks SB record. Are there any resources that I can use to determine the value? I tried Ebay but did not find anything. Is the ticket worth having graded? It is in perfect condition. I actually bought the ticket the day of the game hoping he would break the record. Once he did the ticket went immediately into a screwdown holder. Thanks in advance for any help.

I believe the ticket is worth grading. The value is the amount a collector would want to pay for it. That being said I would put it on ebay and see how much it goes for. If you want you can put a reserve price in case it sells below what you think its worth to you.

Thanks for the responses. It's definately tough to get a value. I'll keep looking.

MooseDog - I wouldn't mind selling it. I just need to determine it's value. I'm not looking to get rich but just want to get a fair price, one that will make both parties happy.

I sold a Henderson SB record breaker ticket on ebay for $39 a month or two ago. It was also signed by Henderson, although there was no verification on the signature. I agree that it may be worth getting graded, although there is little premium on high grades for tickets unless they are a part of a registry set. I just sold a Boggs 3000 hit PSA 10 for about three times what the Henderson brought because it is the only 10. I have other low pop PSA 10 tickets that I hope to get $25 for because there is not a registry set to comand insane prices.
