Tomorrow is very important. If Chien-Ming Wang owns Beckett it will be all over.
"The answer was in the Patriots eyes. Gone were the swagger and c0ck sure smirks, replaced by downcast eyes and heads in hands. For his poise and leadership Eli Manning was named the game's MVP. The 2007 Giants were never perfect nor meant to be. They were fighters, scrappers....now they could be called something else, World Champions."

No, not denial - we are free of the NY media bias telling us what to think. That allows us to see Wang for what he is - and hardly a Cy Young candidate.

Jerry is loony tunes yet again, as I can't recall much NY media who thinks he is the absolute front runner. All it is is the GENERIC and DEFAULT response we hear over and over and over again to combat something that may be pro New York.
Anyone who thinks Wang is most deserving of the Cy Young is either (a) someone who looks solely at wins as a basis for worth or (b) a blind, rabid NY fan.
Wang isn't even in the top 5 of AL pitchers this year.
Unless Beckett totally self destructs the last two games of the season he will win the Cy Young.

Oh, and if Beckett doesn't totally collapse and Wang finishes his last 2 starts strong Wang will be 2nd in the voting.

C.C. from cleveland and both Angels pitchers have done better and will finish higher. >>
Agreed.
In addition to those guys, even Johan Santana, Fausto Carmona, and Dan Haren have better numbers. Also, you could put guys like Brian Bannister and Verlander ahead of Wang. I'd even give it to Kazmir ahead of him.
He'll probably wind up at the bottom of the top ten, largely due to the NY bias factor.
<< <i>that was a pretty pathetic 1 inning for wang,he didnt last long >>
Well, the thing is, with a lot of good pitchers, your best chance to get them is to get them early, because they often settle down. The problem is that the Yankees don't have the luxury of waiting for him to settle down. Hence the quick hook.

I'm not sure which is the more ridiculous statement in this thread - the one above, or the "wins are almost everything" statement.
Wow.
