  • UPDATE: The Roop boxes have been paid for but they have not arrived at my place yet. I was out of town since Wednesday with limited email access so I am just catching up on emails tonight. I will call the company on Monday to check on the shipment. Rest assured I have not skipped town for a few hundred bucks.

And for Basilone... There will be no Roops for You!

For all others... Thanks for your patience!

    Regards....Jeff

  • thanks for the update
  • Jeff,
If you have any extra, let me know. I am interested.

    Thanks,
    Tim
  • I would also be interested in 1 box if there are any left.

  • Roop Update:

The boxes are in transit. I should have them in hand by Saturday. I had a few of the early responder's boxes drop shipped direct. I will send an email with a tracking number to those whose shipment is being sent direct.

Thanks for everyone's patience. This has been more time consuming than I ever imagined. No wonder M J Roop shuttered the operation.

    Regards,
    Jeff

  • Roop Update:

The boxes have arrived! I am currently out of town on business but my wife informed me last night there were 5 large boxes delivered by UPS. I will repack your orders over the weekend and ship them to you via UPS on Monday.

    Regards.....Jeff

  • thanks!

  • ROOP UPDATE:

For those who purchased the first group of Roop boxes, they are packaged and will ship to you via UPS on Monday. The boxes arrived with the original shrink wrap intact and are in new condition.

I have access to another small group of these new Ropp boxes. Unfortunately these will cost you $80.00 each delivered. I under estimated shipping on the last group at $75.00 each. If you are interested please send $80.00 each via paypal to jckorth@fuse.net

These are the official Roop boxes with the Roop logo on the inside top of the box! I am sure not many of these exist in new condition since Roop shuttered their operation earlier this year.

    Regards...Jeff
  • Thanks Jeff, any ide how Gary ot his hands on 12 of the cardboard ones since we started this thread? i didn't think there was that many to go around. Maybe there is some other source we dont know about roop Anyways can't wait to get my boxes!
  • I do not know who Gary is?

    Jeff
  • he had the crappy cardboard ones that dont even hold up. Did you boxes that were dropped shipped direct arrive to anyone yet?
  • I have not heard from anyone yet. Both drop shipments were to California. The boxes that were shipped to me are the heavy duty black cloth ones. I guess that is why I am getting killed on the shipping costs.

I completely filled one with PSA cards and it weighs a ton. These boxes are quite sturdy.

    Enjoy...Jeff

If I was one of the CA shipments nothing yet, but will keep you posted.
A full cardboard archiver box will fall apart within months. The wood ones weigh a ton but hold up well.

if you have been following this thread than you know the people with direct ship recieved tracking numbers. Your just mad cause your patience wore thin and didn't get in on it.
  • GriffinsGriffins Posts: 6,076 ✭✭✭
Actually I was direct ship and never got a tracking number. Didn't matter, they all got here fine. But if you've been reading these boards for a while you might recall a number of people got burned on 80's junkies pack rips. A little suspicion is natural, given the circumstances. I'm happy to report that it was totally unnecessary.

  • Roop Update:

All Roop boxes that were paid for have been shipped except for the one for Vintagegolfcards. I am still awaiting your physical street address since a PO box will not work for shipping UPS.

Thanks for all your kind comments! While Basilone thinks he is watching a bad soap, I am watching a Seinfield re-run and THERE WILL DEFINITELY BE NO ROOPS FOR BASILONE!

I do have access to about 20 more of these Roops. For those of you who are interested in any additional Roops please send $80.00 each via Paypal to jckorth@fuse.net

I would not hesitate since I believe this will be another quick sell out.

    Regards....Jeff

  • Jeff,

Could you open your private message?

    Thanks,
    Vintagegolfcards
  • Hi Vintagegolfcards,

I do not know how to do the private message since you do not have a gold lock icon in the upper right hand corner of your message. Can anyone help?

In the meantime please send your physical street address to jckorth@fuse.net

You can correspond directly to that email also.

    Thanks....Jeff

erinstubby, glad to hear your package arrived so quickly, I, on the other hand, am not as lucky. Jeff Shipped my package on the 24th and it is not scheduled to arrived until 10-2? Makes a lot of sense for UPS to ground ship this box from CA to OH and back to CA..... Oh well, I will get them soon.

Thanks again to Jeff for putting this together.
