1970 Topps Football Super Glossy with square corners

A visitor to my gallery site sent me this scan and asked me if I had ever seen one of these with square corners. I hadn't. Anyone else?

Maybe it was cut off of an uncut sheet?

  • Could it be a proof card for the set? Didn't the baseball super's have a squared corner proof version?

The topps vault auctioned off a bunch of these about a year ago on ebay.

I have some baseball just like it - I am pretty certain they are proof cards - but the previous reply might be correct because that looks small compared to mine - would need dimensions to help out ...

  • I have two of the Danny Abramowicz cards from the set. They were listed as proofs (One by Columbia City Collectibles/Mike Mosier - I bought it about 10 years ago through an SCD ad, I can't recall where I got the other one). However, they are not rare or 1/1s, and I don't think they are true proofs.

I have 3, Joe Kapp, Dave O. and Fred B.

They have the same measurements as regular topps cards (3 1/2 by 2 1/2)
