How often do you guys find US gold coins ?

I have never found one but always wanted to.

    I have never found a gold coin either. I did find a heavy gold bracelet (18k) that was probably worth more than alot of gold coins though.

    Finding Gold coins is rare.....You have to figure as much as they were worth back in the days...if you dropped one, you would more than likely hunt for it until you found it or just finally had to give up....I have been detecting for over 20 years now and have only found these, and only here recently....they are VERY difficult, and are in the range of trash, so most people that discriminate, will miss them...

    i've had better luck finding siver dollars. i did get a gold mexican coin a few years back. i've been detecting since 1986. i guess some guys are just lucky when it comes to gold coins.

    I've been detecting since September of 2006...I've most likely got a lot of detecting to do before I ever come close to finding one.

    A gentleman in Albany, NY. - also a White's dealer, through research and persistent searching (with MD), found a jar with 20 $20 gold eagles... it was on the treasure channel... I happen to deal with him and have watched the show. That is the only find I personnally know of. Cheers, RickO
