  • People wonder why I get angry here...pandrew's post is a perfect representation of what gets me most riled up.

I never ONCE supported animal cruelty, I simply (a) supported Vick's right to a fair and unbiased trial, (b) right to pursue employment in his chosen profession after he serves jail time, and (c) the same rights and freedoms we all hope to enjoy if we are ever charged with a crime. I never said killing animals was ok, yet its remarkedly unfair and flat out UNTRUE posts like this which fire me up. I never supported child abusers, simply said people have the right to talk and speak, never ONCE did I say the abuse of children was ok, but you and those like you (and they know who they are) take my posts, twist them, paint me as some villain, then wonder why I am agitated?

I appreciate skin taking the time to post his kind words in support of me, and, true to form, the ones who accuse me of being inflammatory and a 'troll' are the same ones attacking skin for daring to say that they were being unfair in their treatment of me.

    skinpinch,

I always respect what you have to say, because you've earned it. But you have to understand that that is not true of everyone, and is as untrue of Brian Shearon as of any human being I know.

stown didn't provide a direct quote, and I hope he doesn't mind that I do, but here's what actually goes through Brian's head when he is not encumbered by fear of the moderators:

    << <i>stown-

you are beyond a troll. Why don't you go play in traffic and die a miserable, horrible death? Hopefully one with lots of bleeding where you experience lots and lots and lots of pain. Your death would bring more smiles to more faces than anything you've ever done in life. >>

I don't know if you were around back then or paid any attention if you were, but before you start thinking that the above quote was a one-time thing and that everyone loses their head now and then, that post was positively TYPICAL, and FAR from the worst thing he posted. Despite his protestations, he really and truly did express his personal satisfaction with the death of someone close to a regular poster here.

So while I appreciate your concern for our souls, forgiveness is still a long time away. And there's not a snowball's chance it will happen as long as we remain certain that Brian would still be making posts just like that if he were not restraining himself. He is simply a bad person, and I don't think that evil is a poor description either. I see absolutely no reason why anyone, anywhere, should pretend that he is otherwise. I agree he's no Ted Bundy, but exactly what line has he NOT crossed that has earned him the right to be treated with respect? As long as you haven't killed someone, you can be my buddy - is that the standard to which we're supposed to aspire?

Sorry, I'm not with you on this one.

  • excellent post Dallas

Although I don't unsderstand whay can't we acting as one voice just ignore every post of Brian (axtell/stitzen) just not even acknowledge him.

If we just trated all of his posts like they are not even posted, it will drive him insane. It should be obvious to everyone that this forum is all the life he has. Think of all the trouble and $$$ it has costed him just to keep posting. What is up to now? 5 banned IDs and he had to resort to BUYING a subscription?

Let's just ignore him, everyone one of his post - don't reply, don't PM. It will drive him crazy (or finally get him committed)

I for one NEVER knew this type of statement was made, I am absolutely pi$$ed off at myself for even giving this guy the time of day after people decided to move on and no longer post here because of this guy. Well lessons learned, I will not be responding to him anymore.

<< <i>Let's just ignore him, everyone one of his post ... >>

That's exactly what we should be doing, and it's the rule I've been following for quite a while. The exception is that when I see others are responding and treating him as if he is not among the most despicable people alive, I try to share with them some of Brian's wit and wisdom from posts they may not have seen.

Just so they know who they're talking to.

And I don't plan on stopping.

    Ever.

<< <i>Piling on a man, no matter how many social mistakes he made, doesn't do anybody any good. >>

Wishing death on others and celebrating the deaths of other's loved ones are not "social mistakes", they are vile expressions made by vile people.

My greatest regret is that the moderators deleted Brian's expression of happiness regarding a tragic death before I could save it. Since, in addition to his numerous other character flaws, Brian lies with the greatest of ease it allows him to proclaim that he never did so, and in so doing create a reasonable doubt that he may not be quite as disgusting as some of us claim.

    He is.

    There's no reasonable doubt.

There's no shadow of a doubt.

I appreciate everyone that has had my back but it is time for bygones to be bygones.

    Steve
    Good for you.
  • Winpitcher(steve), is an honorable man to accept the apology and be willing to move on...I am very impressed with him. He withstood some extremely poor comments, and has stood above them.

Dallas, the quotes you posted were extremely vile, and I agree. Looking how everything unfolded, and knowing the spirit of sports talk arguments, then the comments aren't as surprising.

For instance, I am listening to sports talk the other day, and one very intelligent good human being is the host(and his partner is similar but on a lower level of intelligence), and they get to a story where a woman stepped out on the corner and got killed by a bus. They said it was unfortunate that it didn't happen to one of the people on their "bus list." They have a list of people whom they would like see that happen to. Yes, they are wishing death on Steve Alfrod and others because they see them as jerks. They hate them for reasons in their head, and don't mind seeing them gone. It isn't ALL in joking spiriti either.

I would be extremely outraged at a comment if it were a direct threat to cause harm(all bets are off in this case). I would fall into dislike of a person who made comments such as Ax's, and maybe outraged. I probably wouldn't want to be a friend of somebody who said that to me either, but that doesn't mean the situation can't at least be improved for coexistence. I commend Steve for doing that.

P.S. I can't use my Skinpinch Id as I botched the info and my password doesn't work. I didn't bother re doing it...saw no need.
