I got on the internet to look up Michael B. It is inscribed inside the ring and I believed it to be the maker. I was correct!
I e-mailed a retail jeweler that sells his rings and asked for a quote on the ring , saying I had seen one and was interested in a possable purchase. I also called a major retailer in Chicago to ask the same question.
First call was from the New York jeweler. Said the ring has 1.2 ct of diamonds, 5 mm wide, pt 900. Retail is 8,000.00 but they could special order one for 6,600.00
Then the Chicago jeweler called said retail is 10,600.00 and they could order one for 8,600.00 plus tax so about 9,400.00. LOL
I thanked each of them very much and said it was a little above my price range. Yea more like WAY ABOVE!!!!
Thanks for all the complements. That is a once in a life time find.

P.S. Any one want a Micheal B for 50% off!!! LOL

Keep finding the good stuff.

I may be wrong on this, but a while back I seem to recall a post about some guy losing his wedding ring in a Chicago park. Somebody up there was going to hunt around for it, but it was the middle of winter and the snow was too deep. Anyway, can't remember much more than that. Congrats on the find!!!
