    Ray,
My wife Linda asked me to enter this contest.
We donot have a Red book and She would like to have one.

    Thanks Ray
  • I'm not sure if this is an entry in the the contest. But when I started to collect coins I had a few Red Books but I have gave them away over the years to non collectors. Since then I have done well without them for a few reasons 1) I can't see buying a price guide that changes prices once a year. and 2) most of the infomation I can get from other books. Ray I guess I would like to see a newbee get it someone who just has started to collect coins that doesnt have any coin books. CHRIS

  • Better yet. Can I enter the contest Ray? Because I don't own one. If I win can you donate the copy to your local high school or public libary? Thanks CHRIS

    Hi,

I don't have a redbook. Closest thing I have is the U.S. Section of my 19th century krause. I was using that to check out the price of some shield nickels I got off of eBay a couple days ago.

I have a spiral-bound 1997 lying around, too, if anybody needs it. Came in a big box lot I got a month or two ago. First PM gets it.

  • I guess I owe an amend. I tend to go online at the public libary. On an another board someone asked about a coin and I knew the infomation but I wanted to check out my infomation. So I went over to the coin books and they had an 2001 RED BOOK. I was looking up the infomation and I started to thumb though it. I was suprised at the infomation in it. As I said in another post the prices are a year old but it gives a general guideline on it's worth and it has stuff on designers, and history of US coinage. I was suprised! It is basic infomation but it is in all one book. My question is when did they start printing it in color? CHRIS
  • First time I've entered one of these. I've got a redbook but from the mid 80,s and like my head I do not know where it is.
    Please enter me. Thanks.
