Time to make some CASH baby

Just bought 10 adams covers and 10 presd proofs all with just 5.00 shipping to keep for a while and make some cash on ebay!

Tried to buy some washington rolls but they are all gone when I called!!!!
Just thought I'd let everyone know.

Estimated Profit- Min. $280.00 when proof set and adams sets sells out at mint and sells on ebay for at least $30.00 each.

  • That will buy a couple FPS titles. The washington rolls are still avaliable online so I think someone at the mint lied to you.

I wouldn't be spending that profit just yet. The Adams first day covers are not going to do nearly as well as the Washingtons.

Those haven't been a good speculation since Anita Bryant retired.

This was my impression. I thought about buying some, but can't count on a quick profit. (any modern junk flipping funds my meager coin budget.)

Does anyone think these Adams covers are going to do as well as the Washington? Washington is well known and fairly popular AND was the first coin issued in the Prexibux series. I think the Lincoln covers will do well and also Kennedy. Can anyone name some other popular presidents you think will do well in the covers?

Interesting, I wonder what they think they're bidding on since most are ending at less than $25 and they are still available from the mint.

Reagan probably, he's still fairly popular. Had they done this 20 years ago FDR, but nowdays all of his admirers have passed to the great beyond and no one remembers him much anymore.

The vast majority of similar mint products don't even bring issue price today, regardless of mintage figures. The majority of the pres first day covers will be dogs.

a slabbed cheeseburger may have more long-term appreciation potentional than the Fillmore, Pierce or Buchanan.

And that auction is for a pre-sale.

That doesn't make any sense at all. I can understand someone overpaying when there are like 200 items listed on 5 pages but when there are only 15 listings all on 1 page roughly within a 10 inch viewing screen, and no variation of title!!!! I bet this buyer was using a cell phone for internet and couldn't see al the other listings.....
