Thanks to everyone who entered this latest giveaway! Many of the "New Years Wishes" ran along the same themes of peace and brotherhood, and there were some truly well thought-out and thought-provoking entries!
I find it interesting that, given the state of the world at times these days, an American can send a prize to a Canadian of a set of coins from Israel after "conversing" instantaneously via the Internet across the globe! As I have said before and others repeated, if only the world could all be coin collectors - - then we'd have true peace.
Allow me to put in my own 2 cents worth before announcing the official winner...... I, too, would wish for World Peace, starting right here on my street and spreading like wildfire across the globe. But then I sit back and look at both human nature and what we've managed to accomplish so far, and have to wonder whether it is truly attainable or not. I've often wondered how we can get nations to agree when we can't even get our own politicians, neighbors, or even our KIDS to work things out without arguing or fighting! And the coin set I happened to choose for this giveaway is a sad reminder of that fact. Over the years since its independence, Israel, proportionately, has suffered countless "September 11ths" in its homeland. Wouldn't it be wonderful if this year finally brought peace to that country and its neighbors? It certainly would be a surprise!
Anyway, here's hope that each of us can do at least what we can to make someone else's life a little bit brighter in some way, and the hope that this "positive energy" multiplies exponentially throughout the world, so that our children have a chance for a peaceful "global village"!
That said, congratulations to my latest winner........ GoClones!!!
Please PM me your addy so I can ship it on out! Everyone else... Thanks again for the entries, and look forward to my NEXT giveaway soon!!

Hi,
My wish is that various members of my family start getting along better.
Thanks,
am
My wish would be of more things than I could count but to put some in words, I wish for money to count less and morals more. I wish for unity and fellowship in the human race, and not just in the imaginary lines and boundaries of what we say are the fellowships of countries. I would wish for peace among the world, however, I feel I must first wish for peace among those of us more locally, family, friends, neighbors, strangers that you pass everyday on the street but don't even know the names of, peace among these before peace among the world, for if we cannot bear peace among family, than it doesn't matter if the government heads of our man imagined countries get along with the other government heads of other man imagined countries.
As I said, tough one, but at least I got my brain working this year. Please enter me in your giveaway. .noitseuq gnikovorp thguoht eht dna yrtne eht rof sknahT <--- I had forgotten how hard that was.

what can be said that has not already been said? We can all hope for world peace but we all know that this will never happen until all the humans have gone and the world is left for the other animals.
I just hope that everyone can do a good turn for someone else and if everyone does this then at least there may be a little joy and happiness for a little while.
thanks for the entry!

For the CU: Basically same as above:Everyone is entitled to there own opinions, just as we are:Being differant is what makes life interesting, so please show respect for one another, and ignore the ignorant ones who enjoy causing trouble.
Personaly/Family:My Son "grows up", my husband learns to forgive himself for what he was forced to do to defend this great nation; My daughter is kept safe when she starts working within the Criminal Justice System after graduation; and someone finds a cure for all chronic/severe illnesses in this world, or I at least learn to live with mine.
Oops; there I go, rambling on again
