"Early" mint orders...did they happen?

I've seen in another thread about the golden girl order status that some folks made orders before the 12 ET start. Now I live in the central zone so my order says, 11:42am but I ordered 42 minutes after the start. Did people actually get orders in before the 12 ET, 11CT, 10MT, 9PT starts? Unbelieveable.

I remember, a few years ago, a customer service person hung up on me when I tried to order something and I was a minute or two early. When she said I was early I said, "Well, what can we talk about for 2 minutes?" And she said, "Call back" and hung up. image

So, did people actually order the first spouses early?

The mint website accepted orders early.

I tried placing an order before 12 (EST), but the mint site wasn't set up to accept them.

Yup...likewise ... tried to order before Noon, but the website would not allow me to do it...

  • The mint was in the process of changing the web site to add the "Add to Cart" button on the product pages and the MW Proof page was updated early. So some people placed their orders. The problem is that the Mint delivered coins to some who ordered early and now they are cancelling others.
I'd keep playing. I don't think the heavy stuff will be coming down for quite a while!

There was a thread last week of someone complaining they were allowed to order early, on the website, but that their order was canceled.
The Mint's FAQ states that, while they endeavor to prevent early orders, if they happen, they are most likely to get canceled and the mint will attempt to contact the originator to let them know.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

After she said you were early you should have then told you that you wanted to place an order for a different item. After two minutes went by you should have said "wait.. I change my mind. I don't want to order that afterall. I want to order _____." image
