Does anyone know when the results of the ANA election will be announced?

I know that a lot of people still have not received their ballots. I mailed mine in yesterday, but hopefully it won't take as long to get to Colorado Springs as it took to get to me.

Does anyone know when the results of the election will be posted? I assume that there is a date. However, given the problems that they've had with the ballots, I am not holding my breath.

Usually about a week and a half before the convention.

It would be nice to announce the election results sometime after all the members have received their ballots. At present I’ve received no ballot so have cast no vote to count.

I wonder how many of us are going to be disenfranchised during this election. If I were a conspiracy theorist, I would say that this mailing snafu was a little less than coincidential.

The ballots must be received by the accounting firm by 7/19, which is 22 days away.

I am virtually 100% certain that you will all have your ballots in time to send them back to CS in time for tabulation.

No one should panic until 7/9, but I seriously doubt that there will be any widespread panic.

I hope they don't announce the results before I receive my ballot. I am not panicing yet, but I am beginning to become concerned. I am not a conspiracy theorist either, but one cannot help but imagine that somehow this ballot mailing snafu may have been contrived. What is so difficult about mailing out a ballot to every member in time to vote? Why the delay? Why confuse the issue by including the proposed by-laws changes, with two different mailing addresses for responses? Does anyone really believe that the ballot counting and reporting will go any smoother?

    Stephen,
Based on information reported by Chris Cipoletti, ALL ballots had been sent out by the accounting firm by Friday, June 15th. I'd give the post office until Monday, June 18th to receive the ballots. According to information in another post, this kind of mail could take from 7 to 14 days to be delivered. 14 days from June 18th is Monday, July 2nd. I'd give it one more day after that and right after July 4th I would get in touch withBiggs-Kofford IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE BALLOT.

Mine finally arrived today (June 27).
  • I just got my ballot yesterday! The deadline is July 19, 2007. I'm sure they will swear in the new officers around the time of the ANA convention.
