First Spouse Bulk Submission Question

OK, Website minimum is 20 for submission.
When I called, they said minimum was 100.

I've never submitted to PCGS. I would join the collector club
platinum and send 8, but I probably won't get the voucher in time.

I already opened the boxes, so I want to get First Strikes, since it looks like with all the delays.....

Anybody have any info??

I was told 20 per type, which means 20 Martha Proofs or 20 Martha Unc., etc.

You can't send in 10 Martha Proofs and 10 Martha Unc for bulk.

That seems pretty stupid since you are supposed to be able to only order 5 of each.

I agree, but that's what the bulk department told me when I called last Friday.

  • You need to join the Collector's club or be a dealer to submit, so I'd join today if you want to get this going. PCGS was pretty quick delivering the membership kit with the included free submissions. You have enough time to wait for that. The date they must be postmarked by for First Strike is 8/3 according to the web site, but I wouldn't be surprised if that is moved up. They give 30 days from the first ship date so you should have until 7/20 at the earliest.

Make sure that you send them to the Bulk Dept for the First Strike even if you don't send a bulk order.

Congrats on getting them so soon!
I'd keep playing. I don't think the heavy stuff will be coming down for quite a while!

The 100 coin minimum is for the $1 Presidential coin & not for the First Spouse....

I think he is most concerned with the First Strike label. You DO NOT have submit via a Bulk submission to get the label. It can be submitted under any acceptable service level(Regular in this case is cheapest) with an additional fee of $10 per coin to get the First Strike label. The Presidential Dollar Proofs for instance can be submitted under the Modern tier ($14) plus an additional $10 per coin to get the First Strike label. Hope that helps to explain it. The PCGS statement is somewhat confusing!!

Ok, I joined the platinum club. That should be good for 8 coins.
    Thanks for the help.
