Platinum Anniversary Set – Will you buy this year?

With Platinum at the $1300 level, and last years price from the mint of $720 for the Uncirculated half ounce And $780 for the Proof half ounce that would put the 3 Piece Anniversary set at around $2250 – $2350. Will you be buying, if so how many?

    yes, I will be buying, couple dealers have indicated that this is going to be a hot ticket item, kind of like the 20th Anniversary Gold and Silver sets last year. I will probably buy at least 10 sets

    Provided the mintage is low and the demand is high and the price is right!

    I don't think Platinum collecor base is as big as silver or gold. Might not be so popular. On the other hand everyone might buy it thinking it'll move as the silver and gold.

    I'm in but have no clue as to when they will go on sale. If the declared mintage is less than 10K and the max is 5 or 10 it will be worth it just for the reverse proof. image

    Probably not. But it does depend on the mintage. I suspect it will be over 10,000 so to me it will not be worth it.

    i really don't know whether to put the basket with these or the Jefferson Spouse "Liberty" it will be one or the other, but if there is an RP plat, in a set or whatever I would want two. One to flip one to keep. That's it

    Nobody knows.
    I heard they were making a French version of Medal of Honor. I wonder how many hotkeys it'll have for "surrender."

    I will probably do what I did for the gold anniversary set. I bought two, one to sell and one to keep. The only problem was that I kept both.
