  • << <i>What I'm really waiting for is for someone who actually pulls a vintage pack/card worth talking about! Who will it be??? I won't hold my breath, though. And BTW, can something be done about all these crappy auctions clogging up the pre-1980 baseball boxes category? It's gotten rather annoying, if I do say so myself... >>

That's what I'd like to know, too.

  • Hard to find if you type Hidden Treasure 2006 Box or Tri Star. I think I had one hit.

BUT if you type 1952 pack you get 50+ auctions. link

Sad, dealers hyping junk to unknowledgable buyers. Now wheres my Gregg Jefferies Tri Star wanted to buy...

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

I put one on and it never sold
Not one bidder. Must have listed it too soon.
Opened it up instead and you know the rest...

Maybe you didn't put enough keywords in the title.

  • Hidden Treasures,
    a branch of Ebay.
    Selling boxes for Walmart.
A new way to scam people? Or are there really people who will pay over $100 for this stuff?
I can get boxes of 90 fleer wax 36 to a box for only $15 shipped. Any takers??

The worst thing about Hidden Treasures is that the packs are half torn open, half water damaged and half warped. Why not just stuf the boxes full of cards without stacking them or anything, then chew the gum and wad it up in the wax packaging, throwit in the top before shrinkwrapping.

Man I hate weekends. I get all busy and miss important stuff like the beginning of this bad boy.

You guys can all halt your chase of the 52 Pack. I pulled it, but the colation was terrible. It was full of the same two players, Mantle and Mathews? Not sure who they were so I threw that crap away. I can't believe I lost out on some potential Juan Gonzalez rookies becuase that junk was taking up space in my box. I'm gonna write a letter.

And by the way, who is determining the values the seller lists for the cards in the auction that went for $110? Are those the PSA 11 values?

    So to recap:

    - Tristar Hidden Treasures have great cards in them and are worth the money. They also contain half-open packs with warped and water damaged cards.

    - xbaggypants got ripped off with his vintage find because the cards are in terrible condition and can be bought for $1 at card shows. It is also something so rare you'll be lucky to come across it once every 50 years.

Hey Orange, John Nash called. He wants his mind back.

    Edited to remove italic (mostly):
Hey, not every one can get a card as good as Juan Gonzalez' rookie. I was thinking again how lucky I was with the Smoltz card. Anyone ever notice that Topps didn't make those prospect cards with four players for about a decade. That was cool. That is a TRUE John Smoltz rookie. Truly mind numbing boring card for sure, a true John Smoltz rookie, when I think about what got stolen from us when these cards got super popular for a while. What year would you say the cards officially became too popular? Was it 86? 87? 88?

Wouldn't it be nice if people could throw cards away they thought were crappy like this and forget about any present and future value so all the other crappy cards would go up in price, like the way Topps threw out their Mantles back then.[/Q

Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Ok so whos alt. user name is ORANGE? This cannot be real. I think PSA is being punk'd for the second time. (The first time is the two cousins from ohio who will let PSA grade their wagner but only if they are in the room or somethin like that, haha nah man lets get a paper expert instead.)
  • Sorry, no alt usname here, just me, and I don't even know how to search for all my own posts...
I haven't figured out how to change my name from the stupid name of Orange, since I found this forum a couple months ago,
and I can't seem to use any of the other features on this forum.
On the other hand, I do know more than the average person about baseball cards.
