I would think there going to have to, at least until there is a solution to the problem.
Has anyone else seen this problem in ANACS or NGC Holders?

As of right now there are 1790 PR70 2006-W 20th anniv normal proofs with 9986 69's. The reverse proofs are 1467 PR70 and 11223 69's. Ask me again in a week or so or after they update the pops.
No response plus the lack of 20th ASE set grading reports leads me to believe that either few sets are being graded or PCGS has clamped down. I have asked Bajjerfan to update the pop report as soon as he has a new one.
we sold our last 27 sets last week, all ngc 24 69's, 3 70's...........no spots at all......................all kept in a jewelers safe (TL30) since we got them in dec/jan ! (west coast of florida)
Great...wish I saw this post BEFORE I sent my unopened box of 20th Anniversary sets to PCGS for grading. I will let you know the results as soon as they come back in 3-4 weeks.

Updated pops as of about 10 minutes ago 8:30 am CDT.
20th anniv Reverse Proof 11326 in 69 [+103] and 1480 [+13] in 70.
20th anniv Regular Proof 10001 in 69 [+15] and 1798 [+8] in 70.
I didn't keep track of the 68's and lower but I'd estimate that about 125 sets have been submitted and that the chances of getting a 70 on the reverse proof are about 10%. PCGS getting stingy or a run of submissions where the Mint got a little lax on quality? Dunno.
<< <i>Wondering if they clamped down because of the spotting problem? >>
Like you said George. Hold onto the ones you got. They are only gonna go UP. I wonder how long I have to hang onto my RP70 before I can sell and retire.....

Your totals include the 1st Strike totals, however, in order to obtain the individual totals for only the "1st Strike 20th Anniv." designations, you will need to get the totals for the following "unique" coin #'s Rev.Proof..899977..........MS..89991....Reg. Proof...89996...........You will not find the totals in your printed Pop reports....Thought u should know.....

I was using the numbers for 799977 20th anniv rev proof and 89998 20th anniv regular proof as given in the online pop reports. Whether or not they got the FS designation is probably not relevant as the FS labels are also 20th anniv and FS should have no bearing on the % of 70's unless there was a quality issue at the Mint for the early production.

I didn't save save pops for the 68's and lower because most people don't care about the low grade stuff, thus I have nothing to compare them to before the recent update. The gist of the OP has to do with the likelihood of getting a 70 from PCGS and it looks to me like the odds are small for what ever reason.

All my slabbed 70 and 69 reverse proofs in NGC slabs still look great.I did not know there was a problem with the reverse proofs.
