ANA Summer Internship....Comments/Advice??

This past spring, I was selected to serve as a Summer Intern for the ANA. It is a 12 week program, during which I will work in a number of areas of the ANA Headquarters in Colorado Springs. I also am allowed to participate in one week of the Summer Seminar. To end the internship, I fly with the ANA to work at the World Fair of Money in Milwaukee in August. I am really excited about the opportunity, and hope to learn a great deal.
As I leave for Colorado Springs this Saturday, I was wondering if anyone had any comments or advice for me about the internship. Has anyone here performed this internship in the past? If so, do you have any thoughts or advice? Is anyone familar with Colorado Springs, and know of some good extracurricular activities while I'm staying out there......sights to see, places to eat, etc?
All comments and feedback appreciated!

I don't think there is more to add then what's already listed. All the things listed are fun to do, but thinking back on it, the most memorable trip was the Pikes Peak Cog Rail trip. Last year (my first year there) as we were going up Pikes Peak, it started to hail and was foggy and cloudy the whole way up, so we couldn't see much. When we got to the top, we were the last group to be up there, so we had free roam of the whole peak, again cloudy and couldn't see more than 30 feet in front of you. BUT, as we headed down, the clouds just disappeared, like magic. AND oh the sights we saw....It was amazing looking out to the side and seeing the greenest valleys and clearest Mountain lakes ever. We were probably half a mile to a mile away from these lakes and you could still see through the water. It was a spectacular trip and definitely worth it.
Have fun out there.
The ANA is different today then back in 2001. Lane Brunner (astrorat here on the forums) has also improved the internship program. He focused its goals and the interns arent stuck doing dirty work. I think its a great opportunity for you and if you ever come to Denver send me a PM beforehand.

Hey OP, CO Springs is a blast. Everthing from hikiing in Gaden of the Gods, to throwing down a cold one.
While your there also check out Pikes Peak, just watch out for mountain lions.
Good luck with your internship
