I'll be visiting Austin Tx. this weekend to see my first born grandchild. Are there any coin shops locally?

Stop in at ANACS and say hi to Traci!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

Once or twice a week I have to commute into Austin; the rest of the time I telecommute. When I drive in, the commute takes me right past the building where ANACS resides.

Congratulations on your first grandchild! I live right down the street from ANACS...to get there take 183 North exit Lake Creek Pkwy. It's the big building on the right that says 'Chase'. You can't miss it. ANACS is on the basement floor. As for coin shops, the only one I know of is Villiage Coin Shop. It's a couple of exits before ANACS. Exit Spicewood Springs from 183N and take a left. The shop is in the shopping center on your right. It's a nice, small shop. They even have a bid board! The owner (I can't remember his name) seems to be a really nice guy.

The shop Cmerlo is talking about is the only shop to visit. There is another in South Austin but... Well The Village Coin Shop is the way to go. The owner is Brian Owens and he is only open during the week. Opens at 10 and is on 183 and Spicewood Springs. I go there a few times a week. Enjoy

Jack, CONGRATULATIONS!!! So, how soon until Grampa tells the little tyke, "No, no, don't put that coin in your mouth, put it in a Taco Bell napkin"...?

There is also one in central Austin that I go to quite regularly. It is actually part of McBride's Gun Shop. It is small, but clean and has a bid board and some inventory. The staff is really friendly and helpful.
