WWW.CONSIGN4SALE.COM. eBay consignment sales, specializing in numismatics. Sell with a professional registered Trading Assistant who knows the hobby. Much faster settlement than the big auction houses!

I'm poor. That's all I can afford.

It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

  • I think your fee structure should include eBay and PayPal costs.

I would add a "™" after "Trading Assistant. It makes it look more legitimate. I would also suggest using "specializing in coins" rather than "numismatics", since some less sophisticated potential consignors may not know what the latter is. image

I would also add a few words about the high quality, realistic photography. Surely, Compucheap can afford a few more words.

It's actually already running in the classifieds section of The Numismatist. It's only $50 and change for six months.

That would put me over budget. image

    Russ,

I actually ran across one of consign4sale's auctions this morning. I'm watching it now for possible bid later. As soon as I saw the relationship to compucheap, I was comfortable with the thought of bidding with consign4sale (even with a feedback score of 44).

For those of us familiar with you on these boards and your other ebay name, compucheap is your best eBay advertising asset IMO.

  • Can I be honest? On the "Policies" page you use the term "two fold." It bothers me that you didn't hyphenate the word as "two-fold." I have had bad experiences with the big auction houses' use of hyphens in the past, and I think this is an opportunity for you to set yourself apart.

Personally, if I had never heard of you before and knew little about the hobby, the following would raise my eyebrow:

<< <i>Much faster settlement than the big auction houses! >>

I would be worried that I wouldn't attain the full value for my coins in exchange for a "hurried service". Just a thought but it's fine with me.

Seems ok to me......still seems expensive, but when you look at the comparison, it makes sense to use your service. I dont have high power shlitz to sell, but if I did.....I know where to go.

Depending on who you are targeting (those in the hobby v. John Q. Public) you may want to add "(Coins)" after "numismatics".

The term "professional registered Trading Assistant" at first blush seems to be puffery and self promotion. I looked at it a second time and thought it could be otherwise.

"professional" may be uneccessary and you may or may not want to retain or discard it.

"registered" I assume means registered with eBay (which can be verified) and that "Trading Assistant" is a term with a specific, documented definition (which can also be verified). If both terms are accurate and verifiable these words have strong positive impact. If not, then they have less positive impact.

On the whole, I like the wording of the Ad very much.

Hope it works out well for you with a strong response to same (in the form of consignors who consign to you).

Hmm, I reviewed your site and it looks reasonable, except I think if people don't know you it might seem a little sparse. The fee structure is excellent compared to many I've seen. If I didn't have a really nice guy locally that does everything for a flat 30% I'd be tempted.

Maybe add a link for customer comments?

The biggest question I have though, do you sell Beanie Babies in bulk?

I thought eBay's guidelines for the Trading Assistant term was that you were supposed to refer to it as "eBay Trading Assistant" the first time it appears in the piece?
