More Goodies...(and A First)

I'm trying to convince myself that the places I pounded are pretty much
hunted out. At the same time, I want to make sure that it's true.
I went back to the place I've found many old silvers and nickels this morning.
After awhile I thought maybe the place is hunted out. Maybe not...I got a
nickel hit and it was a nickel all right...1925. Then came a deep breaking
silver sound which was barely repeatable. I said, if this was a coin, it'd be
a good coin...Doggone it...I could not believe my eyes seeing that quarter
in my hand...1895-O. My first ever Orlean mint dug! I found a couple old
Wheaties along the way then hit another Buff, 1937. 3 decent coins in 2.5
hours.

Here is the group shot.

This cross and the IHC were found last weekend. The cross bears the year
1830 which I'm assuming when it was made. I tried to clean the IHC but I
guess my mix was a little too strong.

    The quarter is a beauty!!
The silver cross is absolutely amazing! Pictured next to the IHC, I see that it's fairly compact in size, but the detail is stunning!

    Congrats on the super finds!!!!!

Edit: 1830 on the cross could also mark the year when something was founded (but I know nothing about these items..)

The date 1830 commemerates the appearance of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Catherine Labouré on the Rue due Bac in Paris.
I have a half dozen crosses much like this and they all have 1830 on them.
Heres a link for all info on your cross.

Thanks, everyone, for the comments. By the way that is my 3rd Barber 1/4.

Zot, I think I had that coming image. Appreciate it.
Dock, thanks for the info. I was so hoping that the cross was
that old but it should be fairly old too because it was deep when I found it.

I went back after a pit stop today and squeezed out a few more.
Two more IHCs, 1889 and 1897 along with a couple teen Wheaties.
Two more silver coins, a '56 Rosie and a '26 flat Merc.

Almost forgot the gold plated AAA button.

    Whoa, you've been busy!

I hate you for digging that Barber quarter. image

Now go out and dig an 1895-O dime and everyone will really hate you.

I do not really have to do that. Do I?
Anyways...I went digging again this morning. Different spot, though. It turned out all right.

Yessir. Whenever I can dig, I dig. This is my main hobby and I'd like to be really good at it.

Another Barber quarter was dug. It's a 1907 in pretty tough shape but I will take it.
Thrown in is a 1900 IHC. Love to find turn-of-century pieces. My 4th I think. And of course
    some early Wheaties.

By the way, don't hate! I'm just lucky.

LM, it's an awesome site, indeed. I don't think I'm done there yet. There lies my very first Seated coin I've yet to find.
    Imagine that.

Thanks, GR. It seems that everytime I go digging, I learn more about the machine and technique.

Silverdreams, As I learned, no place is hunted out.

    Thanks, guys, for the comments.
