New Camera - Tethered shooting

Just got a Leica M8 recently and took a real quick shot of my new ASE 2007 proof.

Okay, so the lighting stinks, the crop was pretty rotten and the coin looks dark, but right after that I think the Leica Lens is SHARP SHARP SHARP.

I'll get this on a copy stand with some good lighting and I think I'll be in there. Anyway, it's always fun playing with a new toy and I just love these silver eagles.

Edited to add that it looks like I shot it at a super high ISO as well. Wasn't paying attention. I see some artifacting or noise in the fields.

J John...in all likelyhood the "noise artifacting" that you usually experience is the result of saving the shot as a jpeg.

you can literally open a xxx.jpg photo in photoshop 10 separate times....not do anything to it each time...save it, and close it, then do it again and again ....each time the photo progressively gets more "noise" added to it.

i find its ussually best to do all my cropping and tweaking while the shot is still a "TIF" file ....then when i'm satisfied that its okay, save it one
    last time as a jpeg.
