Found this today near the river 2 Kg :
Of course it did look like this when it came out of the ground ( before the paint job and stamping) :
I believe it is a plumbers lead ingot 2 Kg weight is about right- had an old neighbor who was a plumber from way back and this looks like the bricks of lead he used to have.
Also found these the last couple of days, been real nice up here for the most part in NY state, nothing exciting coin wise, just one 1935 wheatie. The good luck charm says "Shop Newburys" on the other side (there was a department store in town that closed in the late 70's- JJ Newbury's). The pocket watch looks like a cheapie (stainless steel case I think) and looks like a play ring.

Ogdensburg, NY is where the store was located and along the crescent was where the good luck charm was found.
I've been getting a few laughs by looking at the faces of the people I show it too now- telling them I found it while metal detecting and am now going to retire...
