So Far So Good....UPDATED with Sunday finds

2007 season is better for me already than the previous years' starts.

I again hit one of the hammered lots and went little slower than usual which worked out very nicely.
I started along the fence and picked up Wheaties here and there but no silver or Buff. All of a sudden
picked up a nice signal near the edge of an area appeared to be where a tree used to be. I dug up
the '45-D Merc. I slowed down a little bit more and more Wheaties were found. Then came the thin
'20 Merc, the 1882 IHC. By this time I spent nearly 2 and half hours there. Thinking there might be
more here yet and I was right. I was rewarded with the '28 Merc. If the batteries didn't go dead on
me I might have stayed even longer. There is a couple of teen Wheaties ('15 and '16-S) which are nice
too.

Here are Sunday finds. The lot includes: '09, '10, '13, and a dateless Buff nickels,
'35 Merc, '51 and 52-D Rosies, a '03 IHC and few more Wheaties.

3 of the 4 nickels were some of the deepest I'd ever dug. This place has been
very generous and there is still area I've yet to pound.

Man this looks like one great site! Those nickels are in pretty good shape. Oh, is that 1913 Buff. a Type I or Type II?

Thanks Silverdreams. The '13 Buff is the Type II.

Wow... fantastic spot you have found... obviously virgin... or at the most, detectors of less quality (either gear or skill)... Cheers, RickO
