    The dirt floor cellars of old houses... and the walls, are prime detecting areas. I have a Garrett Pocket Probe for the walls.... lots of very old building in NYS.... Cheers, RickO

    Someone in Ct should look at old maps and see if they can find "North Meadows" and "Capt'n Cooks Fishin Place." I bet there is some nice stuff still there if it isn't all blacktop and concrete now.

    I like how in 1890 the article refers to the gathering at Cap'n Cook's as an "old fashioned fish fry"
