Can anyone identify this for me

I recently came across a necklace that belonged to a deceased family member. I know that she was friends with a couple of people who did a lot of diving and this piece was given to her by one of them.

Just wondering if anyone can tell me anything about it at all.

I will attach two photos of it, front and back.
