Looks like someone beat me to it...

I was contemplating doing this with my Romanian 1867 set(s)... not sure why they mixed MS and proof pieces though.

It does make upgrading a specific piece difficult. image

Now if only PCGS would offer multiholders...

I wish PCGS would also do the multi-coin holders. Right now NGC is the only game in town for them.

Nice set! Now if I could do that with a Prussian 20 mark set by type I would be one happy camper!

Rick, NGC will do it. It cost nothing extra, just the regular fee for grading, or if the coins are already NGC graded, then just a reholder fee.

Having personally contributed with 2-3 coins to your mini set, image I'm against the NGC multi holder solution, especially if you have yet to upgrade one coin. But besides that, I wouldn't cross any coin from PCGS to NGC.

Don, the PCGS multiholder exists and is a very pretty one too. But like so many of PCGS' services and products, it's kept in the semi dark, supposedly only for US golden eagle sets for now and even then, it's not exactly vividly advertised. I suggest that we ask Ron about it.

Eek! No, I wouldn't try to cross any of the PCGS Specimens to NGC Proofs. It would, however, be cool to have a multiholder set of each (if PCGS made multiholders available).
