When detecting on a beach, is the sandy area above high-tide (dry-sand)
generally more productive than the wet-sand area?
Thanks.

Yes. It is a good spot to hunt. If you fine the tide came in and removed lots of sand, and made a "cut off", that is a better spot to hunt. The tide removes the sand and leaves the good stuff behind.
A "cut off":
Good Luck

So the the detector plugs into the in-line and the in-line has an output to the coil as well as the pinpointer?
The Dx-1 runs off power from the DFX. When useing the probe coil, it runs thru the DFX like any main coil. You hear sounds in head phone or DFX speaker.
It is just a switch box from your main coil to the one inch probe coil. You can't forget it in the car ;-)
