Thank you Laurent, it's one more of the short lived African copper mini collection and a truly exceptional coin deserving a premium. I've recently located an Egyptian AH1277 10 para, red BU, unfortunately not yr4 but yr 7, although the coin is essentially the same. I wish I was able to image the latter, it's very interesting to compare Ottoman Turkish and Egyptian coins of the same era and ruler, in this case Abdul Aziz.

As soon as I'll get it back from PCGS, I will gladly post their photos side by side.

Wanted: Roman Imperial coins with good emperor portrait and clear names. Grade is not terribly important, but the sharper the portrait, the better. Prefer silver or big bronze to the smaller bronzes, and raw coins to slabbed ones. Reverse types are unimportant. While a neat reverse type is certainly a plus, I won't spend extra for a scarce reverse type.

I don't need empresses- I like 'em, but they are outside my focus. I am mostly after pieces under fifty bucks right now but if you have some of the tougher rulers, I might be in the market for higher-priced coins once I sell some stuff.

For Sale: I am gonna be offering a clearance sale on my cheap 3/$1 bin overstock, but will be putting that into its own SSP thread (with associated giveaways, of course), since there are 524 coins if you count the two giveaways. I put them into groups of 20, but there are still 25 pages of 20 coins each, plus two 12-coin giveaways. Will post that when all the scans are done.

My favorite newp, rec'd in a recent trade. Nice medium grey, with no distractions at all. Cool cutouts in the insert, so you can see parts of the lettered edge.

Sweet coin. I love it. If it fit my current numismatic pursuits, I wouldn't be selling it, either.

But I can't afford Thalermania right now.

$225 or trade for a tough Roman Imperial coin. Who has an Otho denarius for me? (Even if I have to fork over some dough in addition to the thaler)

Thanks. It's a sweetheart. I know I'll have pangs if I sell it, but I have plans. image
