Does the color inconsistency on this half cent reverse look odd to you?

Please take a look and comment on whether the color inconsistency on the reverse of this coin looks odd to you. I am not sure if there is an equivalent of "tab toning" with early copper, or if inconsistent color is typically shunned. What do you think?

I think this frequently happens on choice, original early cents, and I own a number of examples where it is stronger than the coin pictured below. I do not shun two-tone coins like this, and I don't think others do either, if the coin has choice surfaces. On the other hand, if it is two-tone because someone recolored it, then that is a major detriment.

I had an 1835 Half Cent in 4 BN similar to your image. I didn't have a problem with it, neither did the guy who bought it from me. As long as it's natural, I don't think there is a problem with the coin.

It isn't unusual to see a difference in toning like that on early, "original" copper; however, I don't think that a difference in color like that could be described as desirable.

I agree that it's not unusual, but I would personally prefer one with consistent color.
