Thank you all for taking the time to check out my new website. A few replies:

IGWT, GaCoinGuy, TwoSides2aCoin, Penny2Many, Guitarwes: You are all entered into the contest.

Msb94: You could buy the 1823/2 quarter and then sleep in the chicken coop. I think I can guarantee that you would be the ONLY 1823/2 quarter owner to sleep in a chicken coop! imageimageimage

Legend: The first one to comment on our MasCAT, Pinball. He of course believes the website's main purpose is to make him famous, and that selling coins is secondary. image Thanks for the support.

Options26: We will look at the email issue, we want to be able to do this better, and most of the problems we're seeing relate to the emailing. We will also be looking at the shopping cart idea, might not do that one now but maybe in the future.

Mepot: You are in the contest. There aren't any Bust halves because I sold the few I had, and 453 varieties is too many for my limited number of brain cells to be able to remember and process. image Quite a few Bust half dimes, dimes, and quarters though.

  • Nice site Rich --- may you live long and prosper...seriouslyimage

Edited to add --- Same thing happened to me...email returned...need to fix that
Re: Slabbed coins - There are some coins that LIVE within clear plastic and wear their labels with pride... while there are others that HIDE behind scratched plastic and are simply dragged along by a label. Then there are those coins that simply hang out, naked and free image

There are many "boxed" type of shopping carts out there. One suggestion is that if you open up a merchant account at some places, you may be able to just link the coin to the check out feature of their website. I know there are better deals out there, but I use Paypals virtual terminal to process my clients weekly credit card payments. I know my industry is a service industry and not retail, but I process about $30k in transactions a week using them and no problems yet. Not to mention that the fees are ok and I earn the money market rate for funds left in the account. I think they have a check out feature you can use for free or a small fee.

The people that did my website has a shopping cart available for sale Here it is I think they are a little pricey, but I'm sure you can find some cheaper solutions.

By the way, if you order coin(s) from the website, and you win the contest, I will apply your prize to the coin(s) you have ordered, if that is what you want to do.

I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    Rich,

Worked good for me. Nice site and I'm sure I'll be looking more. Already bookmarked. image

I liked the idea about using a built in email to your site, and also having the pictures as one image instead of two.

Not sure I like seeing modern copies on the same page as classic coins either.

    Best Regards! and good luck!!

Nice site. I am not sure about the neon, but the overall look of the site is good. When I clicked on the large cent link, nothing happened. I like the market report and hot topics sections (doesn't Legend have a lock on those terms, though image ). Also, that lady's title of "Assistant to the President" sounds pretty important! Overall, nice site and one that I put in my bookmarks list.

    Hi Rich:

Awesome site! Just checked it out. Boy - you like to enter in style -- an 1823/2 25c, etc. etc. I predict the site will be a huge success.

  • I like your site and have book marked it. Its clean and easy to use. I hate sites that want to be high tech, and gadgety, just to look cool. I hope it is a huge success.
I'll tell you what to do.
    Go that way.
    Really fast.
If something gets in your way, turn.

    Entered, thanks.

Nice site, but one suggestion I have is to get rid of the blue border for the linked coin images. A simple command of border=0 should work. I do that on my website, and it looks more professional in my opinion. Good luck with the site.
  • Worked well, the only suggestion I have is to incorporate some type of shopping basket for multiple coins.
  • When I clicked on your email link I kept getting an error message from AOL, I sent an email thru Hotmail describing the error messages I get. I Hope your spam filter lets web based emails get thru.
