VintageCardPrices.com Web Site Comments

I was recently emailed about this site from the guys at Just Collect. Seems legimate, however it will require much data entry to add all of my graded card collection. It appears this site would be an acceptable way to track my collection based on eBay and auction market value. Also seems to market a way for me to sell my extra cards through auction or other. As always, I believe there is a catch.

Any comments appreciated!

Cheers,
MichaelG

Thanks for the comment. And fare to say, it seems like a fairly new site. Not sure you and others can swear by this site, althought I might be blinded by it's newness. Just curious why I have not heard any accolades from the CU contingent!

    No complaints here.

Its expanding quickly ...It used to be mostly pre war material.

Its a wonderful tool to have by your side especially if you like to do deals outside of ebay.

It's been mentioned here a fair amount. I've been using it for about 9 months, and can't imagine collecting without it.
I entered all my certs, and instructed my wife how to access everything in case anything happens to me. It helps with buying and especially with pricing when selling.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

I have used it for several months and have nothing but positive to report. I think it is a very useful site and have no doubt it will expand to provide even more options to help collectors and collections.

The only catch is that it isn't freeimage. As mentioned, they've recently expanded their range, so information on post-war and non-baseball is sparse. I tried them out about a month after they started listing football, and there wasn't enough data there to make it valuable for me. What information existed was excellent, and I plan to subscribe when they get more data.

I subscribed about a month ago and so far so good. I am still learning my way around, but I am going to continue subscribing for sure.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

I have used their free e-mail alerts on auctions for about a half year.

When I started selling, I joined the paid for service. It has well been worth the price with the pricing of cards as SMR and other price guides are way off on prices compared to what is sold on EBay.

It also helps alot when buying cards as you get a history of what the cards have sold for and how often they are coming up on Ebay.

The downside points are: 1. only pre 1990 cards currently, 2. non baseball cards only have history for the past 6 months.

I also would like to have some printout features of their wantlist.

They have added a lot in the past 6 months and have responded very quickly to my e-mail questions. I once sent in an e-mail on Friday night at 9pm about a problem with a price on an auction (56 Topps BB PSA6 common had a $875.00 Ebay end price) and recieved an e-mail within 2 hours that it was corrected.

I think this is a very worthwhile site if you will be selling and buying alot of cards on Ebay and/or other auction sites.

  • Can you eneter your GAI and SGC graded cards too or is it just PSA? Also, can you print lists of what you have once you've entered in your cards?

They have PSA, SGC, GAI and BVG.

As for printing the lists of owned cards, I have not tried so not sure.

I have used it for a while and think it is a great service.

You can enter PSA, SGC, GAI or BVG cards to the my collection feature. Prices are only recorded for actual sales, however, so for many cards that are not PSA graded there is very little market data.

    Julen,

The site tracks graded card prices based on eBay and other auction house sites. The site charges to provide prices, but it does look like a good way to manage ones graded card inventory and current value.
