you sit in your Royal Mint blue velvet case for a 110 years, and you're likely to pick up some blue tint at the rims
My fave Canadian rainbow toner dollar, out of the 50 or so i have left (although most are '67-'73s). These 1940's and early 50s dollars are much harder to find rainbow toned. this one is NGC MS63, and has vibrant blue and red stripes, much nice than the pics show.
i've also got a boatload of these (no pun intended), inexpensive and colorful
I like how this turned out. I image these Canadian $1's outdoors in the shade of the building, and use the sky's brightness to illuminate them. Caught a bit of cloud in the blue sky, the coin is bright silver except for a little rim toning.

They ain't nothin' cheap about that coin! That would make a real fine belated Christmas present for a lover of toned Canadian Commems. Gorgeous '71 pharmer. It is not often you find both obverse and reverse toned nicely. That coin has 'em both.
I may have shown this before - but if so, I'll show it again. Probably my most dramatic '71. Raw, of course.

Wow, been out of town for a week or so and I've missed some really nice stuff! Been a long while since I last bought a Morgan. I broke down and did not let this one get away. Old rattler MS64. That's about right for grade.
