I finally got out for a good hunt like the good old days for me. I hunted for 4hrs and 1 min at a football field concession stand area on Sunday. The ground was moist and just right for my screwdriver. I 'll take a few more days like this. I would have hunted longer but the wife called and asked if I remembered we had a dinner to go to that evening

    Nice hunt! Was this concession stand on school grounds? Did you have to get permission? Just curious, I'm the new guy just trying to get helpful info!

    This is an area that I generally detect once a year. I will try to make it back there because I didn't get finished this time. I don't usually find this much there. In an answer to an earlier question about asking for permission. I don't ask on school property. I go on weekends or late evenings when there aren't kids around. This is definately an area where using a screwdriver is a good idea since you don't leave much sign and carrying a digging knife might be considered a weapon.
