You are bidding on a complete 1981 Topps baseball card set. All 726 cards are safely enclosed in a cardboard box. All of the cards are in very good condition, with some minor scratches on some. Rickey Henderson's rookie card, along with Ozzie Smith's 2nd year, Nolan Ryan, George Brett, and Pete Rose are just some of the great cards that are included in this great 1991 Topps set. Bid now for a great deal in this no reserve auction!
Shipping costs: US $18.60
What a nice description.
The Henderson looks to have corner and edge problems. If this was bought in hopes of high grade cards I think you might be in for a slight disappointment.
I wouldn't expect too much. The Rickey looks a little rough and the seller stated this:
"All of the cards are in very good condition"
Good luck
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts
Well, after following the sellers payment link the shipping was only $11.69, instead of the advertised $ 18.60. Total cost $32.19.
No, I'm not looking for high grade cards from this set. I don't grade at all actually. This will make 4 1980 sets in my collection. One of these days I'll go through them to build the one "keeper" set. Who knows, maybe a few will come from this. I think even as a strictly EX set it's worth $32.19.
Now, lets see what set I actually receive in the mail. That is anybody's guess, I agree.
I once won an eBay auction for the following item:
1973 Topps JOE TORRE #109 PSA 10!! (1of 1) Cost $18.56 for item and $2 shipping.
No one picked up on the fact that it was the 1978 Torre card and not his 1973. (1973 #109 is Doyle Alexander.)
The seller sent me an email letting me know that the card was advertized incorrectly, and that he would offer a full PayPal refund on the item. I respectfully passed, and let him know that I decided it was a good time to start my 1978 collection!
I was later offered $100 from the "honesty2n4u" guy who was building the 1978 set in all 10s.
I guess "Good condition" means NM-MT in his book, because there is virtually nothing wrong with this card, I couldn't believe it when I got it in the mail. I'll be subbing it soon, will let everyone know the results.

Even when you get torched on these deals-- and this is usually exactly what happens to me-- this kind of stuff is a blast to win. Nothing like being a high bidder, and having no honest idea what's going to show up in the mail.
Well, set was delivered yesterday. I'd say I got a deal.
First - it was a 1980 set. Overall way better than I expected. Mostly NM+ with a few dinged commons. The Henderson would be a solid 7, maybe an 8 on a good day. The auction scan looked way worse than the actual card. No edge problems, cenetered better than the scan shows, 3 great corners and one with a little rub.
Rest of stars were the same. Rose and Brett were OC, but hey for 32 bucks I'm not complaining.
Congrats! It is nice when you get a great deal off Ebay.

I will send you what you paid for the auction, just to take it off of your hands.
Let me know.

If you get the 1980 set it is a great deal!

I don't either.
So that's around 4 cents a card so that isn't bad if you actually get the 1980 set.
