    I think Corum's coin watches, and any watch that destroys a nice coin, is pretty dreadful.

    I've seen many of these watches,
    and many times, even in the Corum's,
    the $20 Liberty is a counterfiet.

    When I was going to Europe "back in
    the day", many of the gold coin watches
    were made with good counterfiets -
    the watch makers could save some money
    that way, and after they were "cleaned up"
    a bit, it was very difficult to tell the coin was
    no good.........

    The mint was hawking merc dime watches not too long ago.

    That one has a gold band soldered to the watch. I wouldn't touch it.

    How do they make those? do they cut a coin in half so the two sides can be spread apart to make room for the movement or use two coins or what?

    Nobody that can answer?
