    Pretty!

(Too pretty to not be highly suspicious)
    When in doubt, don't.

  • The fact that it's a '21 Morgan just screams out AT.

Were it an old S mint or something similar, I'd be suspicious, but it would be needed to be seen in hand before I'd be certain. It's just a little too perfect for almost any Morgan. Not impossible, but very rare indeed. It sure doesn't look right around the perimeter devices.

In this case, I have to vote authentic AT.

I recently sold this coin. It's in an NCS slab marked "Artificial Toning"

It *IS* a pretty coin, for whatever that's worth. PL, too.

Oh yeah, its the coin. My &*&@#$!!! pictures, too

I actually walked away from a $200 offer for the coin (from a forum member) because I told him I was unsure about the color. Sold ot on eBay for $55. It'll be interesting to see what he gets for it.

  • No chance that is natural toning. 1921 Morgans do not come like that EVER. Here is a thread on toned 1921 Morgans (P,D, and S), including pictures of the most colorfully (naturally) toned gem 1921 known to toned dollar specialists.

  • $62 with 90 minutes left

I don't think I have seen many Yahoo auctions end higher than eBay that did not start high

but I guess seller did forget to disclose what NGC/NCS thought

I'm sure that's helping his price some. But since he has to get past $65 before he makes money on this coin (he bought it for $55+$5 shipping plus what I guess is about $5 in Yahoo fees), I'm guessing he won't make a lot of money on this coin. Probably nowhere near what he expected to make.

  • Let it go. Learn to enjoy bright white Morgans, and you will no longer have to wrestle with this dilema anymore.
