I'm amazed how many original members still log in and actually read the posts.
It was like walking down memory lane reading this thread.
I was pleasantly surprised by how many of you lurk but rarely reply anymore.
And yes, there are lots of great members who joined shortly after February 2001, many the next month.

But, in the immortal words of a great numismatist, "if you snooze you lose"

I think more are still around. It did bring back memories... the old days of discussing strike, luster, surfaces and eye appeal of a Morgan, and how we each graded one.

This forum has done tremendous things for expanding my knowledge, and there are many people I consider friends even it we never met in person. And there are a couple I met in person that I would never had know were such fine people but for their posts here.

Conder tells the brutal truth and I will tell you from chatting with him that he was aching in his lower back recently. Mike says he hasn't really considered appealing and re applying to come back as he is the kind of guy who will say what is, not matter who is, which might likely cause to happen what happened the last time he said WHAT IS after the rules got posted. .
He's a smart feller and he says he posts regularly over at NGC.
He likes telling the straight up truth, and ....That's prolly why we still keep contact.

Yeah, he got banned I don't know exactly which offense, but I know he is one cool cucumber !
