Well at least we know the Prexybucks will be in some of the sets. Looks like the regular and silver proof sets and the mint sets.

This is getting a bit expensive. I wonder, do to the price increases, if this will stop a lot of potential buyers and leave that many fewer sets for this inaugural year?
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

In the Proof Set you get one Proof Pres for one dollar...a one for one on the coin. It's no 15% increase. This is a great deal. I wish it would translate to the silver Proof Set(?)
  • United States Mint Proof Set® - $26.95 (+$4.00) 15.6% increase Face value of the coins in the set increased $4 as well so no real increase

United States Mint Silver Proof SetTM - $44.95 (+$7.00) 14.8% increase Face value increase by $4 that leaves a $3 increase. How much has silver increased?

United States Mint 50 State Quarters Proof SetTM - $13.95 (-$2.00) 14% decrease No change in face value, but the cost of materials increased. Yet the price went down.

United States Mint 50 State Quarters Silver Proof SetTM - $25.95 (+$2.00) 7% increase What is the increase in silver spot?

United States Mint Uncirculated Set® - $22.95 (+$6.00) 26% increase Face value increased by eight dollars so this is a net decrease.

Taking into consideration the added dollar coins in the proof sets and the increase in silver prices, I don't think the price increases are out of line at all. If anything, adjusted for inflation and silver prices I think the premium charged for these sets over face/silver value has dropped a bit.

So what do you get in the golden dollar bag? One Sac for every two presidentials? Or pure Sacs?
