Scary web site

Details replaced?...Yikes. Says he's buying damaged coins. I wonder what he's doing with them after "restoration". When you get there click on the link for "products" too.

I'm calling BS on this. No way is that the same coin. The gold coin is frowning in the before pic and smiling in the after......image

There is a legitimate place for this type of work, but I'm sure a lot of his customers are using his services less than honest purposes.

He does advertise in the NUMISMATIST the ANA magazine. As long as the repair is noted when selling the coin in the market, I don't see anything wrong with his service.

Maybe, to some extent, they already have.

I note that in addition to the Coin Repairing, he also sells this interesting product:

    "Tone Solution by Stockton
    You Choose the Color!!!!!!!!!!!

Now you can tone Silver and Copper professionally with one solution.

Now you can have the beautifull browns on your copper coins and tone your silver from the rim to the center as you wish. Give your coins exciting eye appeal.

    Don't Delay
    Solution Cost,,,,,,,,Just,,,,,,,,,,,,$25"

Looks like they took the color selection panels from a paint store.

And that before and after on the FAQ page is a bit disturbing.

I think it's this line he uses that might raise eyebrows

Ten-years from now - if it becomes accepted as fact that "nobody can tell for sure," -
those heavily invested in "toners" might be in for a financial shock.

I hope not, because I like them, too.

On that gold coin, the "before" picture is much nicer. Coin is severely damaged in the "after" picture. Oh, maybe he just has them backwards?
