incoming newp: nice OGH Walker!

I rarely venture into "high" condition US coins, but i'm trying to build a WWII era US type set. This '45P Walker will be my crown jewel. I like the coin overall, and the strike appears to be a good one (although not the best i've seen). Housed is an OGH, I'm happy with the coin overall. just had to share with the forum!

Looks like a very nice Walker, worthy of the grade.

What would be included in this type set?

    Lincoln cent (copper)
    Lincoln Cent (steel)
    Jefferson Nickel
    Jefferson Nickel (silver)
    Mercury Dime
    Washington Quarter
    Walking Liberty Half

    Is that all of them?

yup, i think you got 'em covered! I was going to find them all in NGC holders, and have them transferred to a nice multi-coin holder with 'WWII coinage' inscription on it, but this nice PCGS coin came along. I'll probably leave this in its holder, and find the more common MS64 or 65 for the multi-coin array. I think you can only have 5 or 6 in the multi-coin holders, so i'll probably leave out a couple.

Gorgeous! I've always thought this design was our most beautiful and this one is a fine example. Nice of you to pick one that is my birth year <Grin>

I have a complete circulated set and I'm working on a short set of certified Walker's also. Good luck with your War time set.

I have always liked the Walkers. One of the best designs on US coinage.

You made a great selection. image
