    Coinboy,

I agree the plats are gorgeous! I don't know whether or not to send in my 1 set, I know I won't get MS70.

  • "your stash of 16 coins you mention does not make a bulk order. 100 plus does.
i assume your constant rebuttals are just to ensure the fevor of ultra low numbers exist so you can unload your coins.
if you had any brains in your head you would realize that these mintages are not final. IMO, they will be low, but not as low as published numbers.
you must not be doing this for long. 6 months at best?
I'm breaking my own rules here and posting again......this is it.....no more on this thread from me
Good luck to everyone selling these into the secondary market, if you choose to do so."

Wow, pretty good detective work given the fact I have posted many, many times that I just started this hobby....ahh, and BTW, I did my math wrong....it's 34 Plats...but enough about me, cause' I am an open book......

Your 100 or so posts that just sprung up and lead to your certainty of "the secret Minting" of Plats to fill backorders ...er....I mean..."waiting list", along with the 30-40+ posts over the measly 2-3 "three small orders left to be filled " sure is quite a contrarian position for such a 'big' operator who could care less.

Your weak self-esteem just betrays your real motives. When one strikes a nerve, your defensive bluster just comes out, along with some of the truth.

Oh my!....as Capt. Renault in Casablanca might say: " I'm shocked, just shocked to find there is coin shaking going on in here! "

    You bad ol' puddy cat.

    Love, Dr. CoinBoy

    Numismatic News Mintage Figures.
Compiled December 26, 2006 - Numbers provided by the US Mint.

I guess these figures are no surprise to those on this forum!

With the latest figures of the four coin Gold set at just over 4200 it looks like the 5000 set estimate is going to be pretty close. Which means total mintage for the 1/4 and 1/2 oz pieces will probably come in under 10,000 total pieces struck, not to bad for the inaugural year for these Gold Eagle UNC W coins.

Unless of course, the Mint has the 'super secret minting' underway for the sold-out W-Unc golds until mid-night Sunday image

I sent my one piece 1 oz. to PCGS, and they said to submit it under bulk service.

She said if I want the "First Strike" designation, it needs to go bulk.

    What's up with that??

    Goldbully-

To answer your question on bulk service vs. sending to bulk department - you have sent your coins to the bulk department who will ensure that First Strike designation is applied if you desire that designation. You still pay normal pricing plus $10 for the First Strike designation.

Bulk Service is a different pricing structure. You need 100 coins generally of the same type to submit this way. Pricing is much different.

I wrote the word "Bulk" on the front of the submission" form for my APE 1oz., even though I put "Modern" service on the box.

She said since I have 3 submissions...bulk, modern and regular....put Modern on the box for speedier service.

Thank you for your explanation.......so the bulk dept. is not associated with bulk service I take it.
