It is time again for the Annandale Coin Show in Annandale, VA.

The show has over 70 tables sold to over 60 dealers from 11 states. In addition to a wide variety of US coins, there will be a number of dealers of world and ancient coins, US and world currency, as well as stamps and assorted other collectibles (including a lot of holiday gift options). Tidewater will have four tables with their full line of hobby books and supplies.

Parking and admission are both free, so please plan to attend if you're in the area or within driving distance.

Trying to con my husband into it. Is there anwhere nearby he could entertain a 4 and 8 year old boy? The 8 year old actually may want to go see the coins though .

The first bid board I ever participated in was in Annandale: The Midas Coin Shop. Last time I was there was in 1975. I don't know if it is still in business. I do have some coins that I won there still in my collection, including the my best purchase ever off a bid board. I won the large cent below for $40 in 1972, my largest coin purchase ever to that point off a bid board. I just wanted a really old cent, even if it had some grafitti on it. A few years later when I got into large cents, I identified it as a Sheldon 66, which back then was a rarity 6 (6-12 known). Now its an R 5 as more have been discovered, but it's still very sought after and this specimen would be in the $2,000-$3,000 range.
