1885 o Morgan, to slab or not to slab.....what do you think this might grade?
not a key date, appears readily in UNC, but I wonder if this guy is worth slabbing ?
my investment is a c-note.. this is the cleanest face morgan Ive ever owned (I dont own many high grade morgans).
Fine luster to this coin not captures in my ever crappy images... carwheels under the light, fairly white so probable dippage ? no sign of any cleaning even though my image in making it look platinum-y
anyone want to venture an opinion ?

<< <i>Looks like a 64 to me. I wouldn't as the economics for it don't really support the cost doing so. It's too common with ask of $50. >>
I was thinking 65, the face is extremely clean in-hand, maybe it's the perfect cheek that got me.
either way, even if it goes 65 it's probably not worth the net-effort.

Slab it if you plan on selling it later on.

This coin is the market standard for an MS65. Personally, I believe it will 65 any day of the week, and I am willing to bet on that.

As far as slabbing, if you want to protect the coin or have a few that you want to submit then yes.
Otherwise be careful to store and handle it properly.

Because the strong reverse shows only light marks (from the pic anyway) this should go 65, unless there is something we aren't seeing...and this holds true for many of the 65 Morgans in slabs you see these days, from most of the TPGs
