And the requisite number of 68s.....I think that anytime they give a 70, they feel they need to give a 68 or 2.

Considering that roughly 5% of all the reverse proofs sent in to date have achieved a 70, your results are definately outstanding. Am I correct in guessing that these reverse proof are not labeled First Strike?
  • fivecents, when was this submission entered into their system? i have 6 sets there now and waiting on the grades.

There is no busting out whatsoever...the capsules pry apart. I also paid extra to have all boxes, papers and capsules returned to me. Believe it or not Landlord, some people collect coins , not boxes.image

Hey AU58Walkers.....Pcgs hasn't made nearly as much money on the Anniversary sets as they have on AU58 Walking Liberty halves that I see you are trying to buy in your sig line. You think you are being a little hippocritical ther Bucko.image

Congrats on the 70s. Will you be selling the 68s?

    Millertime
  • Looks like a PR70 is going to become a more common thing among moderns.
  • You definately suck. I sent in 3 sets all came back 69 except 2 of the reverse proofs came in 68image
  • Turnaround time?

Those 70 grades kinda make the 68's easy to handle.

Congrats on a great group of coins.image

Take a look at your 68s.
Only on 2 (out of about 7) did I see something that made it a step down from my 70s or 69s.
Not even taking in the account that "ownership adds a point". I used a 10x loupe and went over the coins.

I still have 5 68s sitting on my desk that I am contemplating risking $20/ea on for a review....(and, why is the review more than just grading them??? $20 vs $14)

Bochiman...If you see them as PR69's, then crack and resubmit. Submitting them as regrades would be a very bad idea.imo Seeing that you see no flaws on your five RP SAE's, I would bet money that 2 or more of the five would come back PR69.
BTW Bohiman.....I also noticed how few 68's I received on my submisson. I was expecting a lot of 68's a few 69's and maybe...just maybe two 70's.
  • WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations
  • Hey coinman,i have 5 sets in too, waiting for my grades.I hope i don't get yours again unless i can get the good grades you get. image

Nope...can't do the crack and resubmit (at least on the UNCs). I would lose the designation.
I think we had ~22 coins and 4 were 70 and 7 were 68. Unopened boxes accounted for all the 68s and 3 of the 70s.

  • Looks like you spent a lot of good money to find out how they come from the mint LOL.
